Zidan Painting & Construction

The Brief

Sabri, owner of Zidan Painting and Construction reached out to us looking to refresh the design and content on his website. At the time, the name of the business was changing as they’ve since expanded services to also include general contracting in addition to custom painting. This was the perfect opportunity to make sure the website was easily accessible to clients, secure and up-to-date, and give it a fresh, new coat of paint. 😉

Our Approach

The business has a great reputation, and brings in clients who will stay with them for decades. As we approached a new layout concept – our intention was to build upon this, really bringing forward the passion behind the business and inviting more potential clients to reach out based on their amazing work.

Before creating a wireframe, we put our heads together and came up with a list of website suggestions to present to Sabri. We went through these with him, and finalized on some important details like the need to add additional photography of their finished projects to the site. (Nicole even spent a few hours around the Bay Area taking those project photos.)

Based on the final decisions from Sabri – we agreed on the wireframes we proposed fairly quickly and moved forward to editing the logo from ‘Zidan Painting’ to ‘Zidan Construction and Painting’.

Moving into web design and development, we decided to use a framework theme from Beaver Builder. This adaptable framework for WordPress uses a familiar codebase that utilizes the WP Customizer. Given that we use Beaver Builder page builder on many of our builds, it was a great opportunity to have fun with the full suite of tools that were designed to work very well together.

The team worked together on the design, collaborating on ideas, and presented two options to Sabri.

The Result

The final design is actually a combination of the two design concepts, all of which Sabri has been so kind and happy to share with the world.

As finishing touches prior to launch, adjustments were made using a combination of tools to enhance site performance and security:

With a refreshed design and updated content, we can only hope this properly represents the fantastic human being (and crew) behind it all. They truly love painting San Francisco.

Shortly after launch, we also created new business cards for Sabri, set him up with G Suite, and will continue working together through a customized care plan.
