Our Approach

To fully understand what they were looking for, we dove in with their amazing point person and began discussing their goals, business needs, and audience in further detail. We decided that to further understand their audience, we’d first need to develop their buyer persona. After a few revisions, we delivered the “Business Brad or Brooke” persona to help their staff create content using a similar voice to speak to any current members, potential members, and partners. Next, we worked through a detailed Sitemap and Prototype to better organize where content will be placed to improve their previously confusing navigational structure. After we had those organized, we crafted a few [slightly] different design options to choose from. Once they’d chosen a design, we got to work on the design and coded their custom theme. The final piece left in the project was the content. Initially, we’d provided a simple Content Migration Plan which aided in the creation of our redirects, what copy went where, what needed new copy, and what copy needed to be tossed out. The Content Migration Plan also helped us understand how to make the best decisions on what posts and pages were important to keep from the old site, and what may have needed improvement based on some SEO findings within some data reports. Their team worked so hard with us on creating the content, organizing it, and making things happen when we needed a hand. They truly deserve an applause!
