The Brief
Encompassed Engineering, LLC specializes in fire protection engineering consulting services. They offer a comprehensive range of services that include facility and programmatic fire protection assessments, fire hazard analysis, and the design of various fire protection systems like sprinklers, fire alarms, and detection systems. Their work aims to ensure safety, compliance, and optimal design in fire protection.
Their business has grown and evolved over the years, but their website remained the same. Recognizing that their website was no longer helping their business, nor accurately representing what they do, they reached out to Smack Happy for help designing and developing a new website.
Our Approach
During the discovery phase of the project Smack Happy had multiple Zoom meetings with Encompassed Engineering in order to learn about the business, and how it had changed. Then we put together a sitemap that outlined the pages we planned to build. This map was handed over to the Smack Happy copywriter.
Copywriting allowed Encompassed Engineering to explain the details around their services and during this process, really got to the heart of what they do, and how they do it better than their competitors.
After all of the content was finalized, images were collected and the designer went to work creating a unique website design.
The Result
The new website has a clean and professional design with a navigation menu for easy access to different sections. It highlights areas of specialization, including hazard analysis, risk assessment, and AutoCAD design. The contact page offers multiple ways to get in touch with the company, emphasizing their commitment to client communication. Overall, the website effectively presents Encompassed Engineering’s capabilities and experience in the fire engineering field while providing a user-friendly experience for visitors.

From the Client
Smack Happy helped us create a user friendly and intuitive website. The new website captures the user’s attention and directs the client to the appropriate service(s). Encompassed Engineering’s original website was developed using a website HTML template but lacked the proper user interface and description of services.
During a few working sessions on website development with Smack Happy, the unique field of fire protection engineering was explained. Smack Happy used the information from those meetings and additional research to develop amazing content to describe each service provided. I was extremely impressed with how Smack Happy laid out the timeline from start to finish as well as the detail provided during each phase of the project. You could quickly tell they are professionals in website design! The newly designed website will help reach a larger network and help explain the unique field to anyone searching for our services.
