The Brief
Founded in 1905, the Japan Society of Northern California (JSNC) is a leading nonprofit advancing U.S.–Japan collaboration and understanding. With a rich history and an active schedule of programs, events, and networking opportunities, JSNC needed a modernized website to better showcase its offerings, engage its diverse audiences, and streamline event and membership experiences.
Our Approach
We partnered closely with Steve Pollock (President), Miho Greenberg (COO), and their team to refresh the website with a cleaner navigation, updated design, and improved event functionality. We simplified the user journey by consolidating navigation, introduced event categories with icons, optimized past and upcoming event listings, and streamlined forms for membership, donations, and language programs. The new design reflects JSNC’s innovation and cultural ties while making the site easier for staff to manage and update.
The Result
The redesigned JSNC website presents a polished, user-friendly platform that highlights the Society’s role as the go-to hub for U.S.–Japan insights, opportunities, and collaboration. With streamlined navigation, improved event management, and easier access to programs and resources, the site strengthens member engagement and positions JSNC for continued growth in its mission.
