There are lots of us (either now or have been) anxious about speaking up. The thing to remember is that it’s not about perfection, it’s about participation. Whoever hired you as the speaker obviously believes in your abilities. If you get focused on participation as the beginning phase that really helpful.

I’d say also that preparing is a good thing. If you know what’s going to be on the agenda and you can get ready in advance—that can be helpful.
