Part-Time Sales

This is a freelance, part-time position with a base hourly rate plus commission. We are looking for someone to do networking, one-to-ones, referral partner relationships, sales meetings with prospects, and proposals.

Please follow the directions closely if you're interested!

Do you love building relationships and helping connect people to one another to help them out?

Would you describe yourself as someone who:

Loves meeting new people and making connections between them? Loves to find the right solution for a business regardless if it's your company or someone else’s? Do you believe in the concept of giving in order to receive? Do you have great ideas for taking care of referral partners knowing that referrals don’t always flow both ways? Do you enjoy keeping track of it all and watching your numbers go up? Are you tech savvy and have some knowledge about the website world?

If this describes you, then we need to talk.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for attending networking meetings on a regular basis, mostly on Zoom and rarely in-person. From these meetings you will create one-to-ones in search of good referral partners. When we find good referral partners it will be your job to help keep them happy and referring to us. You’ll take sales meetings with prospects; confer with the team to make sure the prospect is the right fit for us and we’re providing the right solution; and then write an amazing proposal to win them over.

Don’t worry, we have processes for all of this! We prefer that you stick to our processes (especially our “red flags” list for prospects) but we’re also open to your ideas for getting new qualified leads. Though let’s make sure we talk about this when we meet and that we’re all on the same page with expectations. We’re hoping that you’ll stick with us for the long term!

We welcome you to join our 100% remote (always) team that works on flexible schedules. You can work when you want, from where you want, as long as we have some overlap with Pacific time and that you can attend specific networking events (unfortunately that part is a little less flexible and outside of our control).

Our excellent
culture embraces diversity and inclusion and encourages a healthy work/life balance. You will also enjoy positive team experiences and benefits like:

  • Quarterly remote parties, let the fun begin!
  • Quarterly snack boxes right to your front door.
  • The occasional, random virtual happy hour.
  • When times are good, a yearly in-person meet-up.
  • Yearly courses to improve your skills.
  • Yearly bonuses for work done well.
  • Excellent pay scale.

From Your Future Teammates:

I think work and the people who work here saved me this past year, encouraged me to grow, and continue to do so without even knowing it. Grateful always.
- Danielle I

I can't say enough good things about working here. It has been a pleasure. I brag about SHD all the time.
- Natalie M

I think SHD is great. Nicole and the team foster a fun, supportive environment, and have a lot of processes in place to try to automate tasks and make things run smoothly.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Attending weekly and monthly networking events on Zoom, rarely in-person. We have a few groups in mind (Provisors, neXco, H7) but are open to others if you think they’ll be good for our business.
  • One-to-ones: meeting with individuals from the networking groups to learn about their business and whether or not we’d be good referral partners for one another.
  • Meeting with prospects to determine if we can help them and should write a proposal for them. We have a list of “red flags” to watch out for and avoid.
  • Writing estimates and proposals with the help of the team.
  • When you find good referral partners, stay in touch with them and provide value such that they refer to us and keep referring to us.
  • You’ll also be required to keep track of leads and use our system to move prospects through the sales pipeline. We track everything from networking, to one-to-ones, to leads, proposals and wins.
