Community + Impact

The way we show up in the world goes beyond the work we deliver to clients.

How We Give

Every year, we put time, money, and energy into organizations and causes that align with our values. Instead of spending money on holiday gifts or swag, we redirect those dollars to organizations doing work that matters.

We decide together, based on our core values and personal experiences, where the funds should go.

Some of the organizations we've supported:

The company you keep and the causes you support say a lot about who you are.

A nonprofit focused on closing the gender gap in technology by teaching girls, women, and nonbinary students to code.

A humanitarian nonprofit working across health, education, and emergency response.

Pairs U.S. military veterans with specially trained shelter or rescue animals, at no cost to the veteran.

Provides opportunity, housing, and supportive services to break the cycles of homelessness and recidivism.

South Florida's largest emergency housing provider for people experiencing homelessness.

A national nonprofit that works behind the scenes to build the infrastructure for supportive housing rather than operating shelters or housing directly.

Largest family of housing agencies dedicated to ending homelessness in the Bay Area, built around the belief that housing itself is the solution to homelessness.

Work-Life Balance

The People Around Us

We've collaborated with clients, friends, and teammates on conversations about balance and well-being in the workplace, because we think it matters enough to talk about publicly.

We're Better Together

Community is a Verb

We're a remote team spread across the country and beyond. That means community doesn't happen by accident. We build it on purpose.

We hold quarterly team parties, semi-annual meetups in cities like San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Chicago, and regular moments to connect beyond the work. We believe the strongest teams are the ones that actually like spending time together, even when no one's billing for it.

Impact by Extension

We're a services business, and for a long time, we wondered whether the work we do actually makes a difference beyond the screen.

Then we looked at who we do it for.

The websites we build become front doors for organizations fighting for justice, advancing science, protecting public health, supporting families, and keeping the arts alive. Our craft becomes their vehicle. When their site works, their mission reaches further.

It matters to us that wonder, education, science, connection, and creativity remain part of our world. Supporting the people and organizations doing that work is one of the most meaningful ways we contribute.

Here are some of the clients we're proud to stand behind.
