WordPress website recovery + repair
When Something Just Isn't Right...
Something broke, someone disappeared, or your site hasn't been right in a long time. We figure out what's wrong, fix what we can, and rebuild what we can't.
Your website lives somewhere.
Is it somewhere good?
Migrating your website is about setting your business up on a foundation that's faster, more secure, and managed by people who know what they're doing and don't disappear.
You Already Know
Your current setup isn't cutting it. Maybe your host is slow, maybe support takes days, maybe your last developer moved to the moon and took the keys with them. You've been meaning to deal with it. Now you're dealing with it.
How it works
Assess + Stabilize + Repair/Recover/Rebuild
Every situation is different, but the process is the same. We start by understanding what happened, stabilize anything that's actively getting worse, and then fix or rebuild depending on what the site needs.
Assess
We look at your site, your hosting, your domain, your access situation, and the overall health of the codebase. We're looking for what's broken, what caused it, and whether the fix is surgical or structural. You get an honest answer about what it will take.
If this uncovers signs of a hack you didn't know about, or the site's history is unknown, that's when it escalates to a Deep Dive Assessment.
Stabilize
If your site is down, compromised, or actively losing data, we stabilize it first. Backups, security lockdown, temporary patches, whatever is needed to stop the bleeding before we start operating.
Repair
Targeted fixes for specific problems: plugin conflicts, broken functionality, performance issues, security vulnerabilities, display errors, form failures, integration breakdowns. We fix what's broken without disrupting what's working.
Recover
If you've lost access to your website, domain registrar, hosting account, analytics, or ad accounts, we work with you and your providers to recover ownership. We've done this more times than we'd like to count.
Rebuild
Sometimes the honest answer is that the site isn't worth repairing. If the codebase is too far gone, the platform is obsolete, or the cost of patching exceeds the cost of starting clean, we'll tell you. If you want us to rebuild it, we can scope that as a web design project or a Glow-Up™ depending on your needs.

After the Fix
Most repair clients end up on a care plan, because the experience of having a broken, unmonitored site is something people don't want to repeat. A care plan keeps your site updated, backed up, monitored, and maintained so this doesn't happen again. If your site needs to be migrated to better hosting as part of the recovery, we handle that too.
If you will handle maintenance on your own, we can accommodate hosting only (billed yearly only). If you do not want to handle maintenance on your own, our Hosted Support Plan may be a better option for you.

FAQs
How quickly can you help?
Most assessments happen within a few business days. If your site is down or compromised, let us know when you reach out and we’ll prioritize accordingly. After-hours and weekend requests may be subject to rush pricing.
How do I know if my site needs repair or a full rebuild?
That’s what the Deep Dive Assessment is for. We’ll tell you what’s wrong, what it would cost to fix, and whether that investment makes sense given the state of the site. If a rebuild is the better path, we’ll be upfront about it.
My developer disappeared. Can you help me get access back?
Yes. We’ve helped clients recover access to websites, domain registrars, hosting accounts, analytics, and ad accounts. It takes some coordination with providers, but it’s something we’ve done many times. Once control is regained, we recommend a Deep Dive Assessment. Worst case, if a domain is registered in someone else’s name and they’re unresponsive or uncooperative, you may not be able to recover it. In that scenario, you’d need to register a new domain and rebuild. We can help with that, but it means starting your domain authority and SEO history from scratch. This is rare, but it’s why we always recommend clients own their domain, hosting, and accounts in their own name.

Woodpeckers Tap Carefully Before They Cut.
A woodpecker finds bugs. It taps the bark, listens for what's hiding underneath, and extracts the problem before it kills the tree. A healthy tree can easily withstand the foraging and recover from the minor wounds. The woodpecker isn't damaging the tree, it's saving it.
That's how we approach every repair. We assess before we act. Sometimes the fix is a single bug. Sometimes the infestation runs deeper and the better path is a clean rebuild on a stronger foundation. We've been doing this long enough to know which is which, and we won't sell you a rebuild when a fix will do.
Noteworthy: We're not Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers. Those guys drill neat little rows of shallow holes just to feed themselves, not to help the tree. Do it long enough and the tree gets weaker, more vulnerable, harder to save. If your last developer left your site full of holes and somehow the bill kept growing, you may have had a Sapsucker.
