WordPress Maintenance

In this a contract position, we are looking for someone that can take care of hundreds of WordPress updates on a weekly basis without breaking anything.

Please follow the directions closely if you’re interested!

about the job

Do you love having a simple set of instructions to follow? Do you enjoy security and keeping websites safe?

Would you describe yourself as someone who:

Is good at following directions, extremely tech savvy, knows their way around a WordPress backend, no matter how it’s built? Have you messed with plugins and do you understand how they can mess each other up? Do you believe that a company’s website is its livelihood and it should be protected? Are you detail oriented and do you catch all the little mistakes?

If this describes you, then we need to talk.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping hundreds of WordPress websites up-to-date, technically speaking. You’ll update WordPress and the plugins on a weekly basis. You’ll check the websites to make sure they are operating correctly after the updates and in some cases, you’ll also test their contact forms.

Depending on the depth of your knowledge, you may also help out with small content updates for our client websites as well.

We welcome you to join our 100% remote (always) team that works on flexible schedules. You can work when you want, from where you want, as long as we have some overlap with Pacific time.

Our excellent culture embraces diversity and inclusion and encourages a healthy work/life balance. You will also enjoy positive team experiences and benefits like:

  • Quarterly remote parties, let the fun begin!
  • Quarterly snack boxes right to your front door.
  • The occasional, random virtual happy hour.
  • When times are good, a yearly in-person meet-up.
  • Yearly courses to improve your skills.
  • Quarterly bonuses for work done well.
  • Excellent pay scale.

"An anchor can sound like a weight holding you down. That's not what I mean. I mean the kind that keeps you steady when the water gets rough, so you don't drift somewhere you don't want to be. My values are that anchor for me. What I didn't expect when I joined this team is how much they'd become part of it too. We don't pretend everything's fine all the time. We just come back to what matters, and we do it together. Absolutely love this team." - Dani

"I feel so lucky to be working here! The people are great – you know that one annoying co-worker that you dread interacting with every day? Well, they’re not here. Meetings feel like hanging out with friends, and we all have a blast at the occasional virtual party, happy hour, or in-person meetup." - Anna
