Ganado Feed
Ganado Feed approached Smack Happy to build a new website in order to expand beyond their current brick-and-mortar setup, realizing that their current strategy relying solely on social media and a basic website was not helping their business grow.
This design is "archived". What this means: We designed, built, or migrated this site, but it's no longer in our care. What you see today may differ from what we delivered.
Project Summary
Brief
Ganado Feed & Pet Supplies is a retailer in the Bay Area offering delivery and hay services to the surrounding areas.
Their goal was to establish an e-commerce platform that can bring the local shopping experience of their store to a wider audience in Santa Clara County and potentially other urban areas in the future. It was important that the website maintain the same customer-friendly and community-oriented experience as customers receive in their brick-and-mortar store, aiming to replicate the personalized, non-commercial atmosphere of his store on the internet, focusing on quality products and eco-friendly brands that resonate with his clientele.
Method
Setting up a functional and successful online store meant a huge part of our project was spent in the Discovery phase, working with the client to understand their current brick-and-mortar inventory processes. The goal was to add as few additional steps to their current inventory management and fulfillment as possible.
In addition to their current 12 web pages, we planned to build 4-5 templates for products, categories, shopping cart, checkout and search.
We were able to integrate with their current inventory system, and import products. The Ganado team worked alongside Smack Happy to make sure both the inventory data and the new website store reflected accurate information.
Result
The site has a rustic and welcoming aesthetic with a agriculture imagery meant to showcase their connection to locally sourced products. The layout is clean and straightforward, with easy navigation, and prominent calls-to-action.
Smack Happy designers and developers worked closely to create a beautiful and functional new website that is easy for both customers and owners to use.
