As a sommelier, you are professionally trained and knowledgeable in wine. Although, this sommelier wasn’t really sure which direction to go with the style for his new wine label. All he knew was that he wanted the graphic to express he and his business partner screaming happiness at the top of the mountain. He also provided this really rough sketch.

Method

Nicole first did a bit of research on the different styles of wine labels via Pinterest to create boards of ideas to share with the client. Then, she created the drawing in a few different styles to generate some fun choices and finally put them all together on some rough label mockups. A couple roughs are included below.

Result

After the client chose a direction for the label, Nicole redrew it to refine the artwork and make it shine. The final piece of artwork was provided to the client with about 20 different font options. Finally, they sat down together to finalize colors and choose a font for the label. À votre santé!
