USE CASE

The Cannabis Startup That Refused to Look Like Every Other Cannabis Company

A cannabis delivery startup needed a brand identity that signaled luxury and professionalism without relying on the imagery everyone else uses.

The Setup

Go Green is a cannabis delivery service in the San Francisco Bay Area built specifically for house-bound medicinal patients. They were entering a market saturated with the same visual language: cannabis leaves, green cliches, and branding that signals recreational before it signals care. Go Green needed a logo, typography, and brand identity that would position them as a high-end, professional service for people who depend on reliable delivery because they’re too ill to visit a dispensary.

The Problem

The design challenge wasn’t just aesthetic. It was strategic. Go Green needed to stand out in a category where most brands default to literal representation. They wanted something classy, versatile, and elegant enough to build a luxury reputation on, something that could stand on its own without a marijuana leaf doing the heavy lifting. The logo needed to work as a symbol, pair with refined typography, and signal credibility to an audience that cares more about trust and quality of care than counterculture appeal.

Our Approach

We started with a kickoff call to confirm fit, then gathered goals, pain points, requirements, and inspiration into a single creative brief. From there, our full design team sketched independently, each designer bringing a different set of ideas to the table. The team reviewed everything together, mixed and matched concepts, and selected the strongest directions to digitize. Those digital explorations included multiple font pairings, color combinations, and styling options. The process was collaborative at every stage, internally and with the client, moving through rounds of refinement until Go Green landed on the concept that felt right.

The Outcome

Go Green walked away with a final logo, a complete style guide with font names and color specifications for web and print, and a brand identity that doesn’t look like anyone else in their space. The client loved the result enough to request a second version of the logo in green, which says more about the work than any testimonial could. They got what they came for: a brand that earns trust on sight, without relying on a single leaf.

In Their Words

They love us. They just haven't put it in writing yet.
