How it works
Assess + Set Up + Go!
A website migration follows the same process as our hosted WordPress Support Plans with a few key differences.
Assess
We start with a full review of your current site, your hosting environment, your domain setup, and anything that needs attention before we begin the move. If there's cleanup required, we handle it. If the site isn't ready to migrate, we'll tell you what needs to happen first. A site with unclear security history gets the Deep Dive before migration so nothing compromised moves onto the new infrastructure.
Set Up
We migrate your website to Pressable, configure DNS (typically through Cloudflare), set up SSL, enable security, verify backups, and test everything across browsers and devices. Your domain gets pointed only after we've confirmed everything is working.
Go!
Your site is live on its new home. From here, your hosting and maintenance kicks in and we keep an eye on everything. If you're handling maintenance on your own, we hand you the keys and show you around the new digs.

Pressable Hosting
We migrate websites to Pressable, built by the team behind WordPress.com, WooCommerce, and WordPress VIP. It's infrastructure engineered specifically for WordPress.
If you will handle maintenance on your own, we can accommodate hosting only (billed yearly only). If you do not want to handle maintenance on your own, our Hosted Support Plan may be a better option for you.

Your hosting includes daily file system backups and hourly database backups, with all backups retained for 30 days.
On top of that, our WordPress support plans add a separate layer: daily cloud backups of your file system and database stored on a different server entirely.
If something goes wrong, we have multiple restore points across independent systems. We've never lost a client's site, and we intend to keep it that way.
Security from Day One.

SSL
SSL certificates powered by Let's Encrypt are included with every hosted site. Your visitors browse securely, and you get the SEO benefit that comes with it.
DNS
A lot of the downtime we've seen over the years comes from DNS hosted on a reseller or poorly managed server, or misconfigured by a third party. If we're granted user permissions to manage DNS, we can provide faster resolution when issues come up. In most cases, we set up DNS through Cloudflare for our clients regardless of where the domain is registered. It's more reliable, more secure, and gives us the control we need to keep things running.
FAQs
Will I lose my search rankings?
Not if it’s done right. We set up proper redirects, preserve your URL structure, and make sure search engines can find everything in its new location. Though some fluctuation is normal, migrations done without this step are where rankings get lost.
Do you migrate sites from platforms other than WordPress?
Yes. We’ve moved sites from Squarespace, Wix, GoDaddy, AI-platforms and other builders to WordPress. These are rebuilds rather than direct migrations since the underlying technology is different, but your content and structure come with.
What if my current developer won’t give me access?
We’ve dealt with this more than you’d think. We can work with your hosting provider and domain registrar to recover access. If you’re locked out of your own site, that’s something we can help resolve.
