Vintage Pool Service & More
The Brief
As a woman-owned, family-oriented local business, Vintage Pool Service & More provides pool service and maintenance to its customers and other outdoor products like spas, islands, and fire pits. They offer monthly chemical service, filter cleanings, and repairs. With advancing technology and the desire to grow, Vintage Pool Service came to us to redesign the website to align with the business’s goals and ideal audience.
Communication was an essential part of this project, as it was also imperative to them. We wanted to give them the best experience we could provide in this arena!
Our Approach
Before the new design process started – they had some trouble with their previous host, so (first) we helped them move the previous site to a new, upgraded web server. Now that everything is up and running, the website was planned to be done in two phases. They aim to eventually create an online store housed within the website.
Phase 1:
This site phase was intended to meet the following business needs and goals:
- Present a clear vision and direction as a local, friendly pool service that provides top-notch professional service and products.
- Increase the quality of leads and encourage potential customers to reach out about their products and services.
- Lay a reliable foundation for building up a local presence and then branch out into an e-commerce site in the next phase.
- Feel friendly and inviting; tailored to meet the local community’s needs.
The first phase went so well – we all decided to add WooCommerce and set up the site in preparation for the new shopping experience. We added all of the products to the store and disabled the cart and buttons to shop the products.
In addition, we worked closely with Savannah at Vintage Pools throughout the project to bring this all to fruition. Without her impeccable communication and positivity – we wouldn’t be here today! She worked so hard to provide all of the content, feedback, and approvals we needed for the website while managing her fast-paced days in the retail store. We appreciate every minute of her time.
Phase 2: Coming soon!
The Result
The new website is a new, fun, vibrant, and welcoming place for all current and future pool and spa owners in the Manteca area.
Visitors can browse the website for various products and services, contact the service department to schedule ongoing pool services, and even reach out to the repair department. Current customers can also make a secure payment directly through the website.
Some tech specs:
- Custom theme, powered by Beaver Builder
- Online payments
- WooCommerce
- Custom forms to accommodate service and repair/replacement requests
- Responsive design
- Google Analytics & RankMath enabled
- Hosted on a high-performance, dedicated server with WP Engine
- Ongoing preventative maintenance & care
We’re excited to continue making the shop come alive in Phase 2 and hope we’ll bring even more smiles to more customers in the near future.

From the Client
To say that we were delighted Smack Happy wouldn’t be accurate enough. The team is what made us so happy with the company. Nicole, Danielle, Viktor, and everyone else behind the scenes have been nothing but pleasant, professional, and kind. They gave us useful advice where we needed it and completed everything we asked of them. They built an entirely new website for us at Vintage Pool Service, and we are going to continue with them for hosting and maintenance. The website is beautiful, interactive, and went beyond what we anticipated. Not only are their prices incredibly reasonable, but they are also responsive, quick, and always polite. Thank you Smack Happy!
